HitchSafe Key Vault

The HitchSafe slides into your current 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver on your Truck, SUV, Car or Van and is secured inside the Receiver Hitch with two bolt retaining bars inside the HitchSafe.

The Hitch Receiver itself is a solid steel vault that when combined with the HitchSafe provides the most secure location on your vehicle to store spare keys, credit cards, cash and driver's license!!  To access your keys you simply lift off the Rubber dust cover (made to look like any normal Hitch Cover), enter in your personal 4 number dial combination, which then releases the drawer and allows access to your keys.

This solution is far superior to the magnetic key holders that eventually fall off (they are never there when you need them!). If your magnetic Hide-A-Key has not joined the millions of them laying on the side of the road, you then have an open invitation for someone to steal your car because everyone knows where they are hidden!  The HitchSafe is contained within the solid steel structure of the Hitch Receiver via a combination where only you can access your keys when needed.

NOTE:  The 2005 & newer Toyota Tacoma and 2007 & newer Toyota Tundra OEM Hitch Receivers require longer pins to work with the Hitchsafe.

This is My Second One   I've had one of these for 10 years and if it wasn't for my hitch receiver rusting out (this safe out lasted the receiver) I would still have my original. There have been several times I have locked myself out of the house and even locked my keys in the vehicle, the price of the safe is much less and more convenient than trying to get someone to open the truck or house doors. So far, functions and has all the features exactly as was advertised   Installed last week on 2012 Honda Ridgeline. Takes a minute to read the instructions, 10 seconds to actually install it. Spare truck key w/built-in remote entry, plus house key and emergency $50, all fit in just fine. I'm concerned about dust and rust and water long term with the combination lock, being so close to the open road. This is an awesome product. Will save my bacon someday.   We have needed this for a long time. I hate it when your keys are on the seat or in the ignition and the doors are locked. No more waiting for the wife or the cops or a locksmith. Just step to the back of the truck, lift off the convenient dust cover. Enter a 4 digit code and there is an extra key. I hate to say this but I have heard my keys laughing at me as I waited for help in the past. Who's laughing now???
